The web can be a highly effective medium for artists to show and promote their work, if the site is designed with sensitivity and care. When we devised and built the website for artist and ceramicist Jane Muir we wanted her work to feature strongly, with little else to distract the eye.

To show off her work as faithfully as possible and to best effect, Jane commissioned a professional photographer for the site, anorther key element of creating visually-led sites. The quality of the photography and the deliberately spare design environment created by Mango Swiss have combined to create a striking artist's space.

Like all successful artists, Jane would rather be in the studio than parked in front of a laptop, so we also made it quick and easy for her to update the site herself with new images of her work, and the ability to add new pages.
