A 3D version of the 2D logo

We have just recently been commissioned to redesign the Crystal Palace and Norwood Chamber of Commerce identity and logo. Here you can see the final 3D version which accompanies a full range of stationery and on-going web work. The brief was to come up with something that really captured the essence of the original Crystal Palace in both a modern and traditional feel.

STA 3D logoSTA 3D Logo

As part of a larger design, identity and website project for Share Think Act, we created a 3D version of their logo. They liked it so much they chose to keep the 3D version as their principal logo and it now features across all of their marketing communications.

This form of logo design and build is a very tangible, striking piece that reflects STA's mantra of active engagement on three levels.

Qatar 3D logo

The Qatar First Bank asked Mango Swiss to produce a 3D version of their 2D logo, to be used as part of their online marketing programme.

We built the model from the existing logo, extruded it, added Arabic and English text and animation, and then produced various versions showing the logo from different perspectives. The final elements were then produced as an Adobe Flash animation. When the animation stops, the 3D logo returns to its flat perspective, presenting the viewer with the familiar Qatar First Bank brand.

A very rich and prestigious looking logo that lent itself to a dynamic 3D creation.

A regional seletive 3D map system

3D illustration is a detailed and somewhat time-consuming undertaking, but if you are able to make use of it in multiple ways, it is a versatile medium that can more than pay for itself in long-term value. Once drawn it can be cropped, zoomed, rotated, animated and easily updated. It's the design element that just keeps giving.

Our client wanted to display its UK service centres in a dynamic and modern way, replacing the simple flat imagery they currently use. They also needed to be able to quickly add new locations as their business grows. We suggested a 3D map solution with multiple views and the flexibility to be used online or in print. Finding a service centre is now an altogether more enjoyable and interactive experience. Good for their customers; good for their business.

We're currently working in the rest of the UK network. When it's finished, we'll post them here.
